Mountains of Veshk

The mountain range that borders the Veshk Desert, the badlands leading into them are some of the harshest lands on the continent with large canyons crawling between foothills devoid of water. The only livable areas are found deep within the canyons where hidden brooks and oasis hide in the shade of the harsh sun. Winds scream down from the harsh mountains above and scour the badlands clean of life and sand, leaving cracked bare stone to bake under the unforgiving sky. 
The mountains themselves fare only slightly better, sheer cliffs and harsh valleys offer little respite from the wind and weather. Few passes are found that navigate through the mountains and fewer still are known to anyone. Few make their homes here, the most common being hardy goliath tribes who were driven from the Ice-Spire mountains.
