Nakuwar
Common Lore
The Fallen Triton God of Humor, Love and Song was just as often represented as a school of fish, an enormous clam or a swordfish as they were a beautifully androgynous Triton, subtly presenting aspects of both femininity and masculinity and usually depicted holding a pair of drums.
They were worshipped widely, considered one of the core tenets of Triton Society their loss is still felt as Triton art and music has been stagnant for many years, only recently showing an degree of growth and a renaissance of sorts after a thousand years of the repeated and rehashed.
Uncommon Lore
Surprisingly considering their role in the Triton Pantheon, Nakuwar is the least prolific of the Triton gods. They have a single that split into two siblings right after birth and no-one seems to know who the parent is. The name of these twins have been long forgotten but in games of chance or whenever a decision requires some degree of luck or chance to it, such as a coin flip, coins with the siblings heads on either side are commonly used. They call it "Letting the Twins Decide".
Marriage traditions in Triton Cities still often reflect this lost gods traditions.
Little known or heard lore
Nekuwar is one of the gods who was a caretaker for a very important aspect of the world, the Note of Pure Water. A pure tone that serves as one of the seven musical notes that help maintain order on the material sphere. With their death the Note of Pure Water has been untended and unregarded since that time and has directly been the cause of near apocalyptic tragedy at least once.
