Onna

Common Lore The goddess of Death, Burial and Bureaucracy is often shown as a amorphously cloaked humanoid with no visible arms or legs and a featureless white mask with black slits.   Well respected within Triton Society, she is considered a quiet fact of life that is akin to the slow tick of the clock or the inevitable movement of the Triton governments.   Triton are either buried on the ocean floor to be devoured by the ocean life or laid to rest in sprawling mausoleum complexes built deep underwater. These are often designed in such a way to create incredibly cold, barren dead zones where the bodies are preserved for a very long time. Visitors often needs magical aid to visit their deceased loved ones but they have the option to do so.   The Triton Afterlife is called the Sea of Oblivion and is a vast area of warm, tranquil seas that offer no threats. It also offers little in the way of entertainment as it is meant to be a place of quiet contemplation and rest.   Uncommon Lore Onna does not have the aversion to undeath that many gods of death have, instead she considers them to be merely taking a break on the mortal path and patiently awaits the time whenever they will rejoin her.   As such, undead are not uncommon in the temples to Onna, though Mindless undead are less relevant the intelligent undead often find refuge in these temples.   Rarely known or Heard Lore Onna was tricked by Oburi to make it so that the Triton could die, as such she feels that it is her duty to ensure that the Triton afterlife is as calm and tranquil as possible. She is often at odds with Oburi as his infatuation with war had lead to more Triton death, which Onna feels every single time it happens.
