Solag
Common Lore
The Dragon-slayer, the defender of Humanity against all that would stand against them.
He is the creator of humans and the binder of dragons, in human lore Solag bound the dragons to protect his favored children humanity.
Depicted as a huge human, usually with a chained dragon at his feet he is worshipped widely in all human lands and among any human population a shrine to him can usually be found.
Clerics and Paladins of Solag are common in positions of power in most human settlements, many taking up the role of protector or advisor and often leading any worship regardless of the amount of other gods temples that may be there as well.
Uncommon Lore
Dragonkind will always treat overt worshippers of Solag with contempt at best with chromatic dragons being outright hostile towards them more often than not. Paladins and Clerics are always treating with dragonkind at a disadvantage of some sort. With that in mind, very rarely do dragons of any variety attack humans outright.
Rarely known or Heard Lore
Within the Veil of Keskad, the god Solag is alive and well... As far as humanity is concerned. The truth is that the god died three millennia ago, creating in his cataclysmic death throes the dense archipelago of Solags Folly and the deep sea trench known as Solags Fall, where the continent that held his massive temple complex and was the birthplace of Humanity on the world.
Solag was killed at the culmination of The Shattering War between himself and the gods of the giants, various effects leading to the eternal slumber of the Giant gods and their children, the death of Solag, and the creation of the nearly impenetrable vortex that separates the continent of Heroda from the rest of the world.
This is the main reason for the disdain that Dragonkind feels for the worshippers comes from the shared status the god holds as the creator of both races and what they see as the purposeful ignorance of a young and impressionable race. They look at the power the human followers of the god wield in their fathers name as an insult because if that power does not come from Solag...where does it come and why is it impersonating their father?
Dragonkind are not the protectors of humanity as the human lore dictates but instead tend to regard them as an idiotic relative generally beneath their notice at worst and to be kept from hurting themselves at best. Nearly all dragons can sense the Priests/Paladins of Solag due to the unique magical touch that the "god" has created on its followers.
