The Forgotten

The Forgotten are the lost and dead gods of the Triton people, destroyed in support of the crusade against the evils of the Sphere of Water that they urged their favored creations to take up. This millennia long crusade was called the Silver Crusade by the Triton and took place entirely on the Sphere of Water. It is almost unknown on the other Spheres, the gods themselves often leading the Triton into battle against creatures like the Kraken, Sahuagin and eventually the forces of Boral and his own pantheon.
The Triton Pantheon was very powerful with the gods Goh Shiyo and Shen Ryo owing their existence to the same sort of primoradial bedrock that the gods Solag and Falhirn were created from. Though they were not able to make much headway against the enemies they faces in the depths they would have been unlikely to lose outright.
When the sea god Boral crushed the Triton pantheon, he did so with help from within the Triton people themselves.
While the gods struggled, their priests strove with them as multiple animals would when yoked together, each pulling their weight as needed. It was during this seemingly eternal struggle that a sect of priests to the diety Tawade rose to power, one that considered Tawade too weak to fight in this war and slowly grew to consider the death of their own god to be a mercy for that god. They also began to doubt the ability of the Triton to win the war and some even grew to secretly resent their gods for the Crusade itself, aligning themselves to Boral and his pantheon.
These feelings and Ideals would spread among the Triton, culminating in a disastrous event where the Priests of Tawade were able to strike at a moment of weakness in the god, wounding them fatally and attempting to drain their power into themselves. They did this all at the behest of Boral, who had promised them that this would let them end the war and that it would be for the best of the Triton themselves.
Enough Triton betrayed the gods that they were weakened just enough to slowly tip the scales. As the Triton fell into civil war and religious infighting the gods Goh Shiyo and Shen Ryo expended themselves mightily to save the foolish priests from death and torment as Boral followers began to drain them of Tawade's power. The gods of the Triton forgave the folly of their children even as they were slowly broken and devoured.
Boral would devour Goh Shiyo outright in a titanic struggle that lasted 100 years before capturing and feeding the gods Sumi, Umikai, Nakuwar and Meiaru to the most loyal and powerful dieties bound to him. The other Triton gods he bound to his will, forcing them to join his own Pantheon with the likes of Sekulah (The Sahuagin God). This forced the gods into an alignment shift, dragging them away from good and further towards neutrality and evil. Though they balk at this, many of these gods consider it the only option to protect their treasured mortals and some have grown to enjoy the new power and freedom that this has given them and their followers....
