The Gods of the Triton

These gods formed in the primordial days of the world, powerful beings in the shapes of various sea creatures that absorbed or devoured the remnants of the divine struggles of the more powerful, they slowly began to take their own shape and form their own power. This pantheon does not trace its formation from any shard of nether or the death of any particular god directly, instead it coalesced over millennia as would a solar system with the gods Goh Shiyo and Shen Ryo forming its heart, creating an anchor based on the eternal push and pull of Chaos and Law inherent to their natures that helped the rest of the pantheon to form around them. Goh Shiyo and Shen Ryo held opposing positions but where never antagonistic, a relationship of those with like goals but different ideas of how to get there.
These powerful beings became strong in the sphere of water where they were born, feasting on the coursing energies of fallen gods and spirits until they were able to fully form. Each god wandered the sphere of water, taking part in what interested them and learning about the other pantheons that were rising in this ancient world and even more ancient sphere. The Triton were said to have been created whenever the god Sumi was attempting to woo the Goddess Izyu, crafting intricate clockwork creation that Izyu loved so much that she breathed life into them. It was through the Triton that the gods would take on more concrete forms as the entire pantheon doted on and were fascinated by the new creations and cared for them in their own ways.
It is noteworthy that before the end of the Silver Crusade, the Triton Pantheon was not rife with infighting or power struggles of any sort.
The Triton Pantheon is a riven and broken one. They drove their children to become bastions of law and justice on the sphere of water and this brought them into direct conflict with those children of and those bound by the God Boral, which in turn eventually dragged the Pantheon itself into direct conflict with the powerful god. If Boral was alone it is thought that the Triton Gods would have been able to stand against him but with the combined might of the consumed and enslaved gods at his command, it was only a matter of time before the Pantheon was broken and their children scattered to the Mortal Sphere.

The Forgotten Gods These gods are not spoken of or venerated in any way, most Triton know nothing of there being other gods of their people aside from those they actively worship. Some scholars feel that there should be remnants of them though...
