The Rashan Peoples

A human culture found in the Swamps of Solags Folly, the Horned Jungles as well as the continents of Yrevalan and Shona. Their skin has a dusky, coppery hue with dark hair and shorter, robust builds.
These humans are related directly to the Rashani, the Rashani having come from Solavii that cared for the goddess Rashashana as she lay wounded in the aftermath of the Great Cataclysm.

Another Solavii language that has seen significant drift, this is more of an overt one as various points in the Yuan history has lead them to attempt to distance themselves from the Solavii and cleave closer to their identity as the Children of Rashashana
Real life equivalents would be akin to Khmer.

Yuan-Ti
The Yuan-ti of this world are as varied as the species of snake, or the vagaries of the humanity from which they stem. They owe their existence to the goddess Rashashana and they worship her and her various children, the degree of which and what gods take precedence depend on the particular temple.

Naming Conventions

Yuan names follow a patronymic or matronymic naming convention where at birth the childrens "Family" name which comes before their given name would be the name of either their mother or father. Which it is depends entirely on the parents though this is often dictated more by where they live. Yuan living with Yuan-Ti tend to instead put the city or temple name in place of that where those living in the Azure Federation may instead have a family name that is passed down. 
Spouses do not change their name whenever they are married however in cases where there is a family name that is used, it is nearly always the fathers. 
For Example: City or Temple as Family Da'kaokang Hani would be Hani of the Mangrove Temple
Patronymic or Matronymic Sop Hani would be Hani the daughter of Sop
Family Name Sang Hani would be Hani of the Sang Family
These conventions can be mixed and matched as needed, though that is rare. A situations where this might be relevant is if Hani were being introduced to an important family at the Mangrove temple and she has relevant connections to a different family she might want to leverage, that would look like this:
Sang Da'kaokang Hani
Unless her father/mother was important or relevant, she would likely not use their names. That would look like this:
Sop Sang Da'kaokang Hani
This last variation would be incredibly obtuse, formal and specific.
