The Solavi

The original humans that were created were nearly immortal. Though not wholly so, there are several first born that are still alive, though very old and venerable. These and several dragons are the only living creatures to have looked upon their creators. This divine strength fades with every generation and there are thousands of extremely long lived humans scattered around the world.
More often than not they do not realize it until long after those they love have faded away around them. In rare situations they can take up leadership positions but this has often lead to distrust and unrest among a populace that does not understand the reasons why their leader is not living a normal span of life.
Most living Solavi live a solitary existence, wandering the world and often into the spheres. Many have become masters of various crafts and travel to attempt to push the boundaries of that. They do not normally advertise their existence but during great upheavels and danger to the human realms, Solavi tend to gather.
Many Solavi were turned into The Blackened whenever the island of Solavin was destroyed with the death of Solag. Generally only the 1st, 2nd and 3rd generations of Solavi who were on the Island during the final shattering would rise again as sentient undead.
