The Sultunate Wars

A series of border skirmishes that turned into a long running war between the Highmountain Confederacy and the Veshk Sultunate that slowly brought the Azure Federation into play 60 years ago.
The war started over water rights in the Mountains of Mirrors. The Veshk city of Hali claiming a lake through a convoluted series of treaties and promises ranging across several centuries while Clan Hoarblade, who lived near the lake, contested the claim. The skirmishing between the Clan and the City slowly embroiled both nations into a brutal mountain and desert war and whenever the Azure Federation became involved as a whole the war stretched across the entire border.
The War ended in a stalemate after nearly a decade of fighting, the Sultanate falling into an intense civil war soon after as the High Council split over the blame for the war while the Azure Federation was brutalized by a surprise attack from the Shattered Ord.
