The Veil Maelstrom

An eternal storm rose to surround the continent. Called the Veil Maelstrom, no-one that has entered has ever returned and there are no records of any travelling through from the other side. This storm transcends the material plane, creating a storm of sorts in every sphere above and below and makes travel even via other spheres almost impossible (though travelling through the spheres is the most reliable route of travel to and from the continent to the rest of the world).
