The Veshk River Valley (Veh-shka)

As the Veshk River carves its winding path south from the Tall-Horn mountains, its winding and often flooding path has created a large band of verdant life.
The band of life extends from the Horned Savanna in the north before petering out as it meanders into the Glenorian Plains near the city of Bluegate in the south. The band of fertility is 100 miles across at its widest and is as narrow as 25 miles at its smallest. The river valley has wide flood plains, deep jungles that turn into more temperate forest before turning into a smaller band of savanna that slowly peters out into the Veshk Desert proper. 
Many cities line the river valley and it serves as the mainstay of the Veshk Sultunates power, its capital being found along its length near the midpoint between the headwaters and its eventual terminus in the Clawe Forest.
