Umikai
Common Lore
The Fallen Triton god of the Ocean, Fishing and Warfare was often visualized as a bulky triton with a wide smile and holding a harpoon in one hand and a book in the other.
He was well regarded as the bringer of fish and storms and Triton merchants would call upon him to ensure that the mercurial currents in the Sphere of Water would stay true so that their great Shell-ships could ride them to their destination in peace.
A nature deity first and foremost, he was often most concerned with ensuring that the Triton people lived in cohesion with the environment rather than against it.
Uncommon Lore
Umikai was the first Triton god to take part in battle during the Silver Crusade, fighting against the Kraken Kharveshrehla and driving it and its minions away from the Triton Dominion for the entirety of the Crusade.
Rarely known or Heard Lore
There is a certain darkness to this god, for all his jovial representation what is often forgotten or missed are the blood sacrifices he demanded for safe passage, victory in battle and bountiful harvests. His entire aspect was based around balancing life with life and ensuring that the natural flow of the oceans was undisturbed.
