Larson Remelert II

Larson Remelert II is the new High Bishop of the Dawnstar Church. The circumstances of his election were severely disrupted and highly unusual. At the time, before the general public knew there was doubt about the circumstances of the death of Mardoc Tracen IV, Larson was not considered a contender for the role of High Bishop. Over the protracted and unprecedented long period of time that the clergy argued over who should be the new High Bishop, Larson was able to appeal to the clergy voters and wider community to rapidly increase his standing. After 5 months of intensive politicking and campaigning Larson Remelert II emerged as the frontrunner for the High Bishop position. While some people believe that this was due to nefarious backroom dealings the common view is that the unprecedented long election period allowed him to appeal to the right people at the right time.

Larson Remelert II holds beliefs that vary quite differently from his predecessor Mardoc Tracen IV, his views have been described as fundamentalist, conservative and targeting the anti Truth of Pholtus reactionaries. This kind of stance plays into the fears and conspiracies surrounding Mardoc's untimely and mysterious death.
