The Bastard

The Bastard was once a young man named Akira, born and raised in the city of Saido. Growing up, Akira was always fascinated by the stories of the ancient warriors and their powerful swords. He was determined to become a swordsman himself and began training in the traditional art of Kendo at a young age. Despite being a Halfing he trained his body and sword skills, more than compensating for his short stature.
As Akira grew older, he became a skilled swordsman and a fierce competitor in Kendo tournaments. However, he soon realized that his true calling was to use his skills to protect and defend the people of Saido.
One day, a criminal organization known as the Black Hand began causing a ruckus in Saido, using their disregard for the law to bully and intimidate the cities citizens. Akira knew that he had to take action and decided to become a vigilante hero. He began to train himself physically and mentally, honing his skills and becoming a formidable warrior. Due to his large beard and training his body well beyond what is considered normal for a halfling he is often mistaken for a dwarf.
He also fashioned a powerful sword, a bastard sword, which he named The Fury. The sword was said to be possessed by the spirits of his ancestors. This sword was not only an ornate piece but also an enchanted weapon that aided in his battles.
With his new powers and weapons, Akira became The Bastard, a hero determined to rid Saido of the Black Hand and help bring peace to the city. He was soon scouted by The Blades, who shared his goal of protecting the innocent and fighting for justice. The Bastard became the apprentice of The Gladiator. His first goal as a member of The Blades is taking down the Black Hand and restoring peace to Saido.
