Journey To Apprentice

All year, the sun rises over Havalla crossing its large towers. However, on just one day, it rises over and 'sits' exactly at the top of Library of New Beginnings tower. That day, the whole city celebrates with their new arrivals their journey to apprenticeships.

Festivities

The whole city celebrates its people changing careers. At all the squares, several workshops have set up a booth to welcome their new apprentices to the job. Tables are everywhere with people drinking and eating all day long. Blacksmiths apprentices learn to light up the forge as their very first task, alchemist apprentices are taught how to keep a steady fire for brewing.
However, this event isn't just for those who have chosen a new path in life, it is just as much for those who are still unsure in which direction they want to go. Try-Out-Square is the place to be for these people. There are stands everywhere that highlight all the major professions. Some provide only information, others let people get their hands dirty and give it a shot.
In the end, the day is all about finding new paths and making new friends along the way. When the evening rolls in, most stands close and are only available for food and drinks. Getting to know potential masters and building up a network is very useful to up ones chances of progressing through their profession or to have more choices of masters to pick from.

Many people hold out for months to wait for this day to start their new journey. As long as they help others in the library to look for a new career, or help the city in other ways, the people gladly help them getting through this period by donating money and food.
