Common Sayings

Believe in the Me that Believes in You
An saying that entreats someone to not not in their own abilities, but in the speakers ability to assess their capabilities. It Is used widely as a statement of encouragement and an affirmation of trust. This saying is not usually spoken to strangers, but instead to close friends and trusted allies.
  Hel-side
Referring to the hotter, light-side of the planet that faces the Sun (Hel).
  Overboard
Typically used in Cherut Das, and other (surface) seafaring cultures, something that is lost or gone forever is said to be "Overboard".
  Ruffling Feathers
A Cha'Ari expression for sex.
  Sky-Side
Referring to the colder, dark-side of the planet, where the night sky is clearly visible without the sun's interference.
  Snared
Someone that is under the influence of an intoxicant drink made from the leaves of the Ango Vine. Chronic or habitual users are described as being "Tangled Up" or "Overgrown".
  True as a Peppertown Canon
Used to describe a solid bargain, or an event that is sure to happen. In reference to a mythical place that is said to have the finest and most perfectly true canon.
  Malookala
A Mehune term of endearment, similar to a Shmitzee.
  Shmitzee
A Mehune term of endearment, similar to a Malookala.
  As useful as a Hel-Side Lighthouse
Someone or something that is exceptionally useless.

Curses

Firkle - (fir-kull)
A versatile and general purpose swear word commonly used in the non-native city-states. It is used to express disappointment, shock or frustration.
  Ra's Balls!
Extremely offensive swear, used to express frustration.
  Swim with the Cenna
To wish a slow, tortuous, and violent death upon someone.
  Tephra
Crude slang for the rusty red feces after a bout of disease in the digestive system.
