The Anvil

Before Ra arrived on Venus, the Priests had come across an area that native species had completely avoided for centuries. Even the normally untamed jungles and wild grasses of Venus were nowhere to be found in this barren landscape. It was said no life could live there and that some foul touch had spoiled the land in eons past. Of course, the isolation attracted Ra, who after establishing his new kingdom, began the construction of The Anvil.
While not in the same canyon as The Tower of Souls, The Anvil is still the nearest fortification, even if it is several hours away. While this may have made construction more difficult, Ra knew that this was the only place where his vision could truly be achieved. Even to this day, Ra makes the occasional journey to The Anvil. When one considers that the last time he left The Tower to go anywhere besides The Anvil was during the fall of Maksur Das, it should show how highly he values this fortress.
In truth, The Anvil is one of the most secretive locations on the planet of Venus. Very few people, even amongst resistance leaders, know that it exists, with even fewer knowing where it is, and practically no one knowing what is inside. That hasn’t stopped speculation amongst those that know, however. Whatever it is, it must be absolutely vital to Ra’s power.
