Mental characteristics

Personal history

After the assassination of her father, the High King, Alara and her siblings were sold into slavery. She was abused physically and psychologically by her captors... however she persisted, and in time she sought power from some dark, unnamed patron. With her new found power she escaped her enslavement and killed her captors, living well beyond her natural lifetime. She was slowly transformed into a Hag by her patron, and she remains so to this day, a twisted memory of her former self.

Education

Highly educated. While still living in the Temple Fortress of her family, she was instructed by numerous private tutors, learning much. In addition, she spent hours each night consulting the Oracle, learning of her peoples history, the outside world and certain arcane secrets.

Mental Trauma

To this day Alara, now known as Granny Rust, does not speak of her father, mother, or time in slavery. She feels that she is past all of that, enjoying her new life as a creature of power and influence.
