Direm Salt
This finely ground white powder is a staple narcotic amidst the middle class. It takes effect once stirred into a warm beverage, or if ingested in large quantities.
Common names: Warm Frost, Tundra Tea, Blue-White Sugar.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
The powder can be stirred into a warm or hot beverage for effect, or ingested (at least 2 doses required) for the same effect.
Manufacturing process
Direm Salt is produced by boiling 15 to 20 Blue Fern Flowers for 2 hours in water on high heat, rendering it into a light blue mush. This mush is then mixed with Frostviper venom in a 20 (flower) to 1 (venom) ratio. This mush is then rolled flat on a stone surface, sun dried for 2 days and the resulting paper-like pulp is mixed with equal parts Nitre and ground into a fine white powder. Finally it is stored in small vials for at least 3 weeks and shaken daily (to aerate) before it can be used.
