High King Fharos
High King Ullec Chelt Fharos
"I am the last True King of my People. I was the Rising and Setting Sun, The Raging River, The Burning Sands. My lineage was destined to rule this land, from atop the Temple Fortress, wearing Gold and Topaz, with Strength and Honor for all time... But I was Betrayed. My Greatest General poisoned me, like a coward, and took my throne. My wife was slain, my daughters sold into slavery, and I was entombed beneath this temple for all time. Now, Ruin is my legacy" - High King Fharos, beneath the Sandy Tomb.

Accomplishments & Achievements
During his reign, after inheriting the throne from his father, High King Fharos set forth numerous edicts to strengthen his nation. While some of his changes were well received, others (like his giving slaves the ability to purchase their freedom, or the right to learn to read) were seen as insults to the throne by traditionalists. Regardless of his public opinion, the High King continued to try and strengthen his empire by levying more troops from the conquered tribes and cities within his empire, but offering them full citizenship and pay if they survive their enlistment.
Failures & Embarrassments
Due to his waning opinion amidst other high ranking officials, the High King was eventually usurped. His throne was taken from him by his leading general, after he was poisoned and his family sold into slavery in a distant land.
Mental Trauma
Enraged by his failure to protect his family, and his throne, the High King returned to the mortal world... he inhabited his own corpse, now mummified, and sits waiting beneath his tomb in the lower levels of the now ruined Temple-Fortress. He appears calm and collected if interacted with civilly, however he holds much rage and anger towards those (like the one who betrayed him) that do not show what he feels is due respect.
