Northern Green Goblin

"Those forest dwelling little monsters? To the hells with all of them, thieves, bandits or foul sorcerers the lot. No honest, dawn watching Dwarf should have to put up with those little terrors, we should have burned their settlements centuries ago" - a Dwarf commoner in Tall Stones.   Native to the temperate and sub arctic north, these Green skinned Goblins are well known for their reputation as troublesome raiders and scavengers, having attacked more than one trade caravan, and becoming something of an inconvenience to the peoples of the north.

Culture

Birth & Baptismal Rites

When born, a child is dedicated to the tribe as a whole, and is raised communally within the tribe. Parents have a very limited connection with their offspring, as it is seen as the job of the entire community to raise a child, not simply the parents.

Coming of Age Rites

When a Northern Green Goblin comes of age, they are subjected to a Rite of Passage. This test varies by tribe, but it usually involves a hunt or test of crafting.

Funerary and Memorial customs

Funerary rites among the Northern Green tend to be elaborate, including a long party, community ceremony and committing the deceased back to the earth through either a pyre or burial beneath a cairn.
