Gnoll

shemurch (/ʃɛmurʧ/ , "the people" in Gnollspeak)   Gnolls are a rare race of sentients known for their large bodies, course fur, and reverence for the Dæmonic Court. They resemble anthropomorphic hyenas. Many Brasiite view the gnolls as a scourge of the dunes.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Gnolls resemble large hyenas with spotted or striped course fur. The gnoll upper body is heavily muscled compared to a human, but the digitigrade legs seem disproportionately slender. Different lineages of gnolls will have different markings and gnolls tell tribal ancestry through the markings. They have short tails (about 1-2 fl in length) that are bristled with fur. Gnolls also have a bristly tail typically 1-3 fl long.   Gnolls have a strong scent that is generally unpleasant for non-gnolls.
