Le patachi, qui mesure entre 20 à 30 cm, à un corps constitué de 3 boules : la plus petite est sa tête, et les 2 autres de taille similaire sont son corps. Sur sa tête, il possède 2 gros yeux à facettes de couleur jaune foncé ainsi que de nombreuses antennes et mandibules. Les 2 grosses boules formant le reste du corps sont recouvertes de petit poils jaune foncé avec quelques taches un peu plus brunâtre. Ensuite, il possède 4 petites paires d'ailes, 2 sur chacun des 2 abdomens. Enfin, il possède également une queue au dard empoissonné, qu'il peut rouler en boule pour former une quatrième boule sur son corps.
Le patachi n'est pas très rapide, et ne possède pas de jambes, ainsi, quand il ne vole pas, il roule. De plus, quand il se sert de son dard pour empaler sa proie, il perd l'équilibre en vol, et doit se rattraper, ou tombe au sol. Le poison de son dard est toxique, mais ne tue qu'en grande quantité. Son antidote est également connu, puisqu'il suffirait de croquer et avaler le corps d'un patachi pour se soigner. Malheureusement, le patachi est connu pour vivre en petite colonie de 10 à 15 spécimens. Enfin, le patachi a obtenu une réputation particulière, connu sous le surnom du 'diseur de malheur' notamment grâce au fait qu'il est très fréquent dans les endroits infestés de monstres, et par rapport au fait que l'antidote du poison soit la créature elle-même, mais qu'il est très difficile de l'obtenir en raison de son nombre. Le patachi a fait énormément de victimes, longtemps après qu'elles sont sorti du donjon et rentré chez elle, grâce à son poison efficace uniquement sur le long terme.

The poison from its sting is poisonous, but only kills in massive quantities. Its antidote is also well known since it would suffice to crunch and swallow the body of a patachi to heal. Unfortunately, the patachi is known to live in small colonies of 10 to 15 specimens. Finally, the patachi has obtained a special reputation, known by the nickname of 'the misfortune teller' thanks in particular to the fact that it is very common in places infested with monsters, and in relation to the fact that the poison's antidote is the creature itself, but that it is very difficult to obtain it because of its number. The patachi claimed a vast number of victims, long after they left the dungeon and returned home, thanks to its poison that was only effective in the long term.
