Life, or more sentience is a difficult thing to fabricate. The few who managed it often did so through sheer luck, cheating with sacrifice or asking for aid. Nobody knows who or what they asked for aid, but it clearly helped these men craft new lives, the most common Gift that was granted is the Warforged as ‘matter’ given sentience.
