Sensory Therapist Graduation

Being it an experimental and unrecognized profession, there isn't a formal education for Sensory Therapist yet . But since the start of Daniya's training, it was agreed that the completion of it would be celebrated with a formal ritual.

Because of the nature of some parts of the celebrations, only adult students are allowed to graduate (and only adult students are allowed to practice and train beyond the foundation steps).
The level of training to reach before the graduation is mutually agreed by the Master and disciple, and the decisive factor for it is the confidence of the student to be able to take in their own cases, pending the approval of Yarik that doing so won't cause any harm to the student or the patient.
On the day of the graduation, the Hottest Spices is closed for business and evacuated of all clients that might be hosted on the premises. While it is a simple celebration, it is an important milestone for the therapist and it marks the start of their journey as an independent practitioner that can take their own therapeutic decisions. The whole day is devised to allow the student to get familiar with the methods of their future colleagues and the full range of equipment available.

Upon waking up, the graduating student is accompanied in the hot pools for a cleansing bath and dressed in a simple white tunic by one of their colleagues. Afterward they are served a delicious meal including all the most exotic ingredients the shop can provide.
The central part of the day is dedicated to a tour of the inner chambers of Hottest Spices and the familiarization with all the implements and materials that they might not be familiar with yet. The tour concludes with a trial sampling of the Senses Chest, and the student is expected to open for the first time all 29 drawers of the chest and briefly try their content on themselves.
The celebration concludes with the enjoyment of a personalized therapy from all other graduated colleagues and Master Yarik himself. The general plan for it is usually agreed beforehand with all the participants so to assure that comfort and enjoyment of all is the main theme. At all times any of the participants can step away from it or any part of it, but the general agreement is to not leave the graduating person alone during their first night unless they ask so.
While the celebration has been a private affair up until now, since there are only three fully graduated practitioners so far, Yarik is already thinking about changes in it in the event many more people joins their ranks.

A last desperate hope for the cure of a neglected condition for some, a racy curiosity for others, this small group of people has created a new life for themselves in the slopes of an ancient volcano and are doing what they can to try to help themselves and others.

On the slopes of a volcano, a strange individual took possession of an old apothecary shop and transformed it in a centre where the Sensory Stupor is studied and where a lot of affected people head to, hoping for some help.
