WIP - Summer Camp quality. This will continue to be edited during July and likely after the prizes adjudication.
CW: mention of sexual themes, not detailed
This recurrent celebration is held in the Tanirath great community hall and is the most important festivity for the community of the Zemesh Clan.
It is a celebration of their makarid identity and traditions and their dragon's lineage. While similar festivities are held periodically during the year to celebrate smaller events for the families in the clan, like births and personal achievements, during the warmer season the whole community is expected to participate to what is essentially a celebration of the Clan itself.
The celebrations have a climax over the two longest day of the year, but the festive spirit extends to the whole season, often with smaller events and celebrations in the city and private houses and businesses.
During the main two days, all activities but partying is ceased in the city and every makarid gathers in the great hall and shed most of their clothes to reveal the signs of their ancestry in their bodies and the tattooes that mark down their family lineage on their own skin.
The festivities are all about the pride of the makarids identity and this includes the exposure of the physical characteristics that often makarids of other clans are forced to hide under clothes and sometimes with forced alterations.
During the day, in addition to food and drinks, the makarids can enjoy the work of the best artists in the clan, tattoo artists who show off their talents on anyone who volunteers to be inked in the public stalls, tailors who exibits their creations that best complements the former arwork, jewellers who give live demonstrations and exposition of their work.
This is also the favourite time of the year for the new Miyiks and Izars to be invested and have their lineage tattoos embellished with the cangiant ink. The public can in this way both enjoy the artistry in the making and cheer on the new leaders of their Clan.
A big part of the celebrations are also live music and theatricals that become slowly spicier as the days goes on, until, after the sun sets and the youngest have been set for their sleep, the stage is occupied by a dramatization of the life and erotic feats of Zemesh and their lovers.
After the traditional representation, the fete usually carries on in a orgiastic congregation, with the izar and miyiks of the clan taking their ritual role of directing and monitoring the impromptu sensual play that happens around the room.
'this includes the exposure of the physical characteristics that often makarids of other clans are forced to hide under clothes and sometimes with forced alterations.' Poor makarids. :( The festival sounds amazing though.
