Graia Campaign

Battle brother Hierax wore this power armour during their brief, but bright service amongst the legionaries of the Epsilon battalion.

This hallowed battle plate earned its name through an ability to shrug off blows of daemonic weaponry, said by some to channel the wearer's zeal and faith into protection both real and spiritual - a potent ward against the machinations of foul warp entities.

Claws ripped their way across his back. He span to meet the monster, leading with an outstretched right elbow that impacted the daemon's skull with a wet crunch. Foul, stinking brain matter spat fourth across his right eye lens as the flash of another daemonic blade glinted in the setting, warp-maddened sky; the fell-weapon came down upon Hierax's breast plate, raking away ceramite as it went - but without purchase, for the space marine's faith was as unshakable as the armour he wore... and he was already in motion to deliver a strike of his own.

Despite the armour's unique properties, Hierax was not spared from death at the hands of traitor World Eater marines, eventually succumbing to several bolt round impacts and saw-like lacerations.
Brother Hierax, along with his armour, was recovered after the battle for Laochan gate. His armour was repaired, restored, and deemed worthy of a place in the battalion's special armoury until a new wearer may be chosen.

Significance

We thank Hierax for her service to the guild during the Graia campaign, for standing alongside fellow members of ELWP. We wish her well for the future!
