Premise

The Hitomitri, or Star-eyed people, came to an already inhabited Earth more than three thousand years ago and have been living among the planet’s inhabitants ever since. The Humans referred to the new people as “The Gifted” until the true name, Hitomitri, was revealed. They suffered from infighting between orders, sometimes even clans, for years until a human king united them in peace and, in return, the Hitomitri gifted the king with the science of magic. Several generations later, the new human King, a descendant of the first, mysteriously left the kingdom in the middle of the night for a matter of sheer urgency. After several days of waiting, the Hitomitri people started accusing one another for the disappearance of the king. Without a human King to guide them the kingdom quickly turned to disarray and the five orders of Hitomitri spread into different corners of the world. The five different orders then further divided, splitting into what they called clans. Fast forwarding a millennium, there is still no sign of the king.
