Couatl
Native to Yoriqiniya, these beasts are holy and revered by the followers of Yarzimism. There are also a special group of Legendary Couatl that are sometimes worshiped independently of the broader religion.
Couatl ranchers are often held in high status as protectors of the holy creatures.
Couatl's are generally between 10-30 feet from head to tail, with a wingspan larger than their length. The older the Couatl, the larger they grow with an expected life span of around 200-300 years. Their bodies are serpentine with a layer of feathers along their backs and wings, as well as small arms separate from their wings that are capable of fine manipulation. By nature, Couatls are well intentioned, but are heavily a product of their upbringing and can easily be turned evil.
