Gyda Peninsula

A large spike jetting from the southern edge of the continent, creating a large sheltered bay. The land is lush and forested but the Darkfel borders on the Peninsula and is slowly encroaching inwards and taking it over.
Every few years a town needs to relocate further from the Darkfel's corruption.
Due to the influence of the Darkfel, the forest is infested with creatures that have wandered. A handful of skilled hunters defend settlements from these monstrous beings and the natural dangers of an untamed wild.
A varied system of City-States populating the inland forests linked with a democratic naval power built along the coast makes up the profitable civilization here.
