Garden of Tora
The final resting place of Tora, The Daughter, and the last spot Tora, The Mother, lived before leaving the mortal realm forever. The city knows nothing but abundance of resources of all kinds as a parting gift from both The Mother and The Daughter.
Demographics
The City of Tora is inhabited mostly by farmers in the outskirts due to the area's abundance in rich soils and merchants/trades of all kinds in the inner circles of the city.
Industry & Trade
The major industries of the City of Tora are mostly agricultural. With the abundancy of mineral rich soils and a flowing supply of water from springs to help provide large and healthy crops. From these crops come all the other agricultural delights like robust beef, pork, and poultry at a rate that is not accomplished by those of any city or town in the rest of Aviagard. From this abundance of agricultural production, the City hasn't seen a poor economic climate since the few years after The Daughter's death.
Before The Daughter died, she lived in the area and acted as a mayor to a town of craftsmen, smiths, and trade workers. Before their agricultural blessings, it was a town that was able to take advantage of many natural resources that others didn't have easy access to such as hard and soft woods, mineral and ore deposits, and the previously mentioned flowing spring water. It was the perfect conditions for a blossoming city.
History
The city was mostly a village for a majority of its existence. It wasn't until The Daughter migrated there as a display of love between parent and child did it see any substantial growth. As worship and prayer alone didn't meet the needs of the people they found the area they were in was one of opportunity. During the time which Tora, The Daughter, lived the city grew at a rapid pace due to the commercial opportunity present and because many wanted to live in proximity to a demigod.
After Tora's passing, which happened in her own home, the area withstood a never ending rain for a year. Even though the rain would lessen and mist some days, it would soon enough swell to a monsoon, and go to normal showers in random cycles. Despite the endless rain, the land never flooded, flora grew without the presence of sunlight, and temperatures never rose above or fell below a comfortable range. It was believed that it was The Mother mourning the loss of her daughter.
After the rains stopped, crops started to noticeably grow larger and more dense than previous years. It wasn't until a year after this blessing did the city name itself after The Daugther.
