Personal history

Emile was born in a small town from Easter Mothnir to his mother Maelys Côté, and by his father Athenasius. Through his childhood, Emile learned of stories about his godly father and grew to idolize him. However, that ended abruptly when a plague rolled through town. This disease was unlike any other. Emile watched in horror as his fellow villagers, and his own mothers, skin blistered and bodies fell apart as their own blood slowly boiled them alive. Emile survived against all odds and grew to hate Death. He came to believe that deaths honor means nothing amidst suffering and that Athenasius is a false profit with a greedy agenda to collect souls of the noble. Thus, he turned to Paracelsus and took an oath to help further the plot toward immortality at all costs.

Emile served Paracelsus faithfully for years doing odd jobs, most including to acquisitions, but some times non lethal hits followed by kidnapping. One day, celebrating a recent job well done, Emile drank a little too much and got into a travel brawl. Here he lost control of himself and accidentally murdered one of his opponents. Now scorned by the general population as a follower of Paracelsus and by the God himself for Emiles transgression, Emile travels the seas looking for a new life, or an unknown, unreachable death.
