Personal history
Linneaus was born shortly before the end of The Great War. After growing up in the turmoil with stories of grand monsters and beasts, Linnaeus soon grew to have a love for Biology and Naturalism. He would travel the continent far and wide to help write a compendium of these fabled creatures, but ran into an issue that shook him to the core. In the conflict of The Great War, many species were left extinct, now with only their raw bones as proof that they ever existed. Devastated that he would never be able to meet the creatures whose stories he grew up with, Linnaeus worked forward to a new path in life. That of Resurrection.
Studying the weave the Morgana had made a few years prior and looking over some of the notes of Paracelsus, Linnaeus invented a form of magic that allowed the resurrection of several life forms. But being as expensive a process as it orners reviving only one male and one female of each species.
Linnaeus' ambition was high, and his hubris was higher. His next goal was lofty. The Resurrection of the mighty dragons. Understanding his own ability to some degree, Linnaeus implored the help of Morgana-Salavarrieta. The Goddess agreed to assist the Firbolg, but the experiment ultimately failed, causing instead the creation of a new race: the Dragonborn.
Impressed by the work of the two, Alexander himself smile upon the Achievements of Linnaeus and elevated the mortal into the refined position of God of Nature. His first act as a newly born deity saw Linnaeus work together with the help of Alexander to renew the dragons once more, and this time successfully.
