Skyworlds

A series of small worlds and floating landscapes and cities that drift at different orbits above an ever-deepening dangerous cloud mass
Deep within the cloud is the original honeycomb Loxodon homeworld but it is now eternally enclosed by the dark clouds corrupted by the Nothing
Since the arrival of the Dread the other planetoids have been under attack by White Wasps swarms, while Zephyrus has only recently started to become a target.

The many floating planetoids of Skyworld have been in various states of war and alliances over the recent centuries. Serpens Zephyrus was once the most prominent of the Skyworlds but is now in a state of decline.
The emergence of the Dread Lord Gemeshet the Void enclosed by the bleak clouds of the honeycomb remnant of the Loxodon homeworld, its armies of white wasps and dread has led to catastrophe for many of the smaller planetoids and before the intervention of the BMG was coming for the remaining planetoid nations.
With the activation of the Loxodon Machines, the Skyworlds are safe for the timebeing.

History

The Loxodons spread out from this system
The long-vanished ancestral homeland of the Loxodon was on the missing Skyworlds.
During the Alin War whole worlds, including the ancestral homes of the Loxodon and Tabaxi in the Skyworld system were devastated by biological catastrophes, the out of control necromantic forces of the Carkade, warring Elderday beings and emergence of White Wasp mega-swarms
After the sealing of the Alin worlds the Loxodon who weren’t having safely rescued the last of the Tabaxi commenced their long search for the missing Skyworlds
The Skyworlds were not trapped with the 12 Alin homeworlds and have thus avoided 6,000 years of continued horrors, however the scars of the war are still evident:

• Several ever-present porous locations that leak the void into the world
• The largest of which is at the heart of the honeycomb world beneath the clouds
• The slowly expanding Void that has entirely engulfed lower orbit Skyworlds
• Places of living curses
• Disfigurements on the Skyworlds
• Potshards and traces of colossal weapons used in the conflict
