Amberfall Emirate
The Sunkissed Edge of Auloa
History
Once, Savia stood a productive bastion of the Palladium Empire, inviting Palladian emissary from across the Sea of Brass to its tropical shores. Today, Savia barely stands as a split nation in the midst of a bitter cold war stalemate. Historically, the province comprised the northernmost tip of the continent and of the Windburnt Rift, a deep valley of pale granite that rarely receives rainfall and is always remarkably warm. During the Palladian Age, the province was prized for its frankincense trees and silver reserves. The local halflings of the region were tasked with the mining and plantation work. Today few halflings remain following their enslavement. With the Sundering however, the once-dominated dragonborn slaves of the Palladians in Nioa rose up, sacked port cities of Qartago and Port Equinox before sailing south to Savia. They arrived at Cape Amberfall and pushed the elven and aasimer population into the Windblown Rift. Many thousands died and only those who allied themselves with local human bandit groups managed to eke out a living. These new half-elves soon became known as the Windburnt and forged kingdom in opposition to the dragonborn.
