Daikau'nare

The Daikau'nare is a military honor code kept by the warriors of the Khaghate people of northern Iroa. Roughly translated as "the Warrior's Creed," the Daikau'nare forms a part of the Ogadinui , the foundational legal and spiritual text of the Khaghate, and specifically dictates the proper behavior for soldiers in war and in peace time. Like the Ogadinui, the Daikau'nare is believed to have been given to the first Khaghatan of the Khaghate people, by the war god Oheilion as recorded in the "The Legend of Khaghate the First." The Khaghate believe that the Bloodied Lord imparted the Daikau'nare to teach the Khaghate how to survive the hardships of the Material Realm and live as a honorable warrior race. After completing their verd'goten, young verde1 are sworn upon their armor to uphold the Daikau'nare and to follow the Way of the Khaghate. Should a warrior fail to adhere to the Daikau'nare, or worse, turn away from it, they are considered dar'khagha and risk social and spiritual exile from their clan.   It is common for military leaders and alore to quote the Daikau'nare to their forces. When quoted, common etiquette dictates that the target audience respond by saying, "Ibic kui Ku'nare," or "This is our Creed."
