Druidism
Druidism is the common name for a belief system centered around animistic traditions and natural magic. Much of Druidism's teachings are the closest representations to what is sometimes called the "Old Magic," an arcane force that is said to predate the Ordering of the Cosmos and to inform the metaphysics of the Script and the Weave. Druidism places strong emphasis on a balance within ecosystems, respect for plants and animals and their roles within the Circle of Life, and the protection of places of natural places where the great power of the Old Magic remains strong within the Material Plane. Some in druidism anthropomorphize their faith into the cult of Acien Tali, a deity once associated with the Heavenly Council that is now said to be the divine champion of Druidism's religious and philosophical framework.
Structure
Druidism is an unorganized, highly localized faith. While much cross-cultural pollination has occurred between druid circles, druids do not have a central church or hierarchy. Particularly powerful druids, called archdruids may hold vast cultural or social influence but their influence does not typically extend beyond the reach of their community or region.
