Lavender Queen

The Fairest Lady of All The Fey

The Lavender Queen is a goddess of the Feywild and the Fairest Lady of the Seelie Court. She rules the Feydawn side of the Feywild, and is associated with those more Good or Neutrally-aligned fey and Archfey of the Feywild.

Divine Domains

The Lavender Queen is the living embodiment of the Feywild and long ago was subsumed into the realm of the fey itself. Her divine domains are Life, Nature, and Trickery.

Holy Books & Codes

The Fey have little use for written accounts of their stories, for they are long lived and have longer memories still. Those that do follow a religious text with its roots in the Lavender Queen's worship use the Travelogue of the Cult of Murex.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

The Lavender Queen's divine symbol is an iridescent lavender lily in bloom set alongside a crescent moon. Her sacred colors are lavender and mother-of-pearl.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Beyond maintaining the independence and arcane power of the Feywild's wild and ever-chaotic fabric, the Lavender Queen's main goal is to meddle in the affairs of the Scarlet Prince and the Unseelie Court as well as contain him and his worst impulses from spilling out into the Material Plane.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Because the Lavender Queen has been subsumed into the very stitching of the Feydawna and the Feywild more broadly, she can no longer appear in corporeal form, even within the Seelie Court. For this reason, the Lavender Queen chooses a proxy to be her voice and eyes within the Seelie Court. The Lavender Queen’s representative in the Seelie Court changes every so often but is usually a mortal turned Archfey through divine magic. That individual rules the Seelie Court along with Nyphros the Sweet Paramour and the other members of the Archfey until the individual grows weary of the Feywild (an inevitability among the younger mortal races) and desires to be brought back to the Material Plane.   However, when described in abstract poetry, song and myth, the Lavender Queen is depicted as the most beautiful humanoid woman with long, pearl white hair, lavender eyes, and a dress made of the finest and sheerest gossamer clothes that can be stitched in all the Realms.

Personal history

The Lavender Queen is the living embodiment of the Feywild and long ago was subsumed into the realm of the fey itself. Very little is known about the Lavender Queen. It is believed that at one point she was an intrinsic member of the Heavenly Council but she later withdrew to the Feywild. During this time, The Lavender Queen and the Scarlet Prince were married and ruled the Feywild together in harmony, and the Queen bore a son, the Sweet Paramour, Nyphros. However, after an incident known in the Feywild as the Race of the Unicorns, the two engaged in a brief yet destructive conflict. A peace was negotiated, with the Lavender Queen ruling the Feydawn region and the Scarlet Prince ruling the Feydusk region. The Lavender Queen’s representative in the Seelie Court changes every so often but is usually a mortal turned Archfey through divine magic. That individual rules the Seelie Court along with Nyphros the Sweet Paramour and the other members of the Archfey.
