The food provided by the FHP takes the form of Goo, a nutrient-rich sludge that comes in a variety of tastes and can be processed/cooked in several ways. Goo is a highly efficient source of food for Honarthians, as it is the only source of protein, carbohydrates, fat, vitamins and more for the majority of the people. Goo's efficiency extends to its ease of transport, storage, and distribution to millions of people. The FHP provides Goo rations through automatic dispensaries and retail vendors that distribute free Goo along with their usual for-sale products. While fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy, and meat are available, they are prohibitively expensive and accessible only to corporate tie-ups and politicians in the high cuisine restaurants of megacities.

For Game Masters, the FHP provides an opportunity to create unique and diverse scenarios for the players. The lower levels of the cities offer a unique and challenging environment for players to explore and survive. At the same time, the ease of finding Goo, can solve players' and other characters' insecurities about feeding their characters.
