General Summary

A Canine Sidetrack

Echo takes the stolen Pony to here 'hideout', a small alcove in a rock face that she believes to be a mighty fort... (she is delusional.) Echo then procieded to smear the Pony with dung, in an attempt to make it look black. Then nearly gets herself killed by six wolves.

A New Day

Mebarak and Sabo meet up in the Stonehill Inn for breakfest however they can see no sign of Drick. They meet a Chultan Monk named Stine who joins them for breakfast. They tell him of their recent encounter with the Cragmaw Goblins and invite him along to inquire about any adventuring jobs at the Phandalin Shire Reeves Office.
Upon entering they are met by a disgruntled Elmar Barthen one his way out of the Shire Reeves Office. Knocking on the door they are greeted by a Badgerkin named Harbin Wester who invites them in to sit down. Sabo who notices a set of pewter tankards directly behind Harbin who is sitting at his desk and attempts to sneak behind him, but is immediately noticed. The strange behaviour make Harbin uneasy and suspicious at which point Mebarak attempts to quell the situation but inevitably makes it worse. Then Sabo admits that the group is associated with Echo the Horse Thief at which point Harbin stands and calls for his two village guards.
Their is a brief pause as they waiting for the guards then Stine stands up, and addresses the room with such eloquent rhetoric that it quells the entire situation convincing Harbin that there has just simply been a misunderstanding and that the group is willing to make amends. Excepting this Harbin makes an agreement with the party that if they eliminate the Cragmaw Goblin threat the whole situation will be forgotten, with the caveat that Echo must spend a night in a goal cell and receive ten lashes in the public square the following morning. If they fail however, the case will be no longer be in his hands and be subject to a higher authority, Richard De Oldford V the Count of Leilon.
Adventuring out to investigate the sight of the ambush further, in rought the group coincidentally happen upon Echo who re-joins the party with her stolen, dung covered 'Black' Pony. They tell her of their mission but choose to not inform her of the caveat or consequences should they fail. Rounding a corner back to the ambush sight the party notice a young gangling looking Goblin picking blackberry's and humming to himself. Mebarak without hesitation does his Zena Worrier Princess Scream and nails the Goblin in the head. Sabo and Echo dive on him and tied him up. Echo then draws her shortsword and places the tip ageist his throat.
