Dear Obril

"Dear Obril" is a letter written by Vex to their child Obril. It was secretly sent, hidden within a story book, with the hope that when Obril is old enough, they will read it and understand why Vex had made the choice to send them away.

My Dearest Obril,
My little star, as I write these words my heart is heavy with the knowledge that I may never have the chance to see you again. The love of a parent knows no bounds, and it is with that very love that I write to you today, hoping that one day you shall hold this letter in your hands and understand why I had to do this.
From the moment you came into this world, you brought an indescribable joy into my life. Every step you took, every smile that adorned your sweet face filled my heart with a love beyond measure. You were, and will always be, the precious starlight that illuminated my world.
But life is often unfair, and circumstances sometimes force us to make decisions that break us apart. In the depths of my love for you, I had to make an agonising choice. I sent you away, not because I didn't want you, but because I knew it was the only way you could have the life you deserved, a normal life untouched by the rules and restrictions that surround mine.
Obril, may the universe bless you with a life filled with joy, purpose, and fulfilment. You remain cherished forever in my heart, and I hope that one day, the stars will align to reunite us so I can hold you close once more.
