Hooman Education

Hooman Education is run majorly by the Education Sector. Hoomans are required to stay in education until they are 18, which then they are then expected to be qualified to work in a specific Sector.   Most schools are run by the Education Sector, however Facility Education is more run by the Health + Social Care Sector. There are also specialised schools that are sponsored by Sectors to bring a more specific education to students.

Facility Education (FE)

(Also see Childcare Facilities)
Proper Facility education doesn't start until the younglin is 4 years old, as the first three years is to care for and monitor the child. Most of the education is done through planned play activities, and in the morning, when younglins are most active and willing to learn things.   Facility education is also used to prepare a younglin for the time that they will leave the facility to live with their families. By the time they are 6 they should have fully completed Facility education and changed to a separate teaching facility to continue their education.

Basic Younglin Education (BYE)

After a younglin has fully left the facility and is now living with their family, they move onto basic younglin education. They begin at 6 years and should have completed it by 10, where they will take their first exam, the Sector Guidance Exam (SGE).   Language, Literature, Mathematics and Science will always be taught in the morning, while various other subjects like Art/Design, History, Geography, Technology, Religion, Citizenship, Music, Physical education, are taught in the afternoon.   Hooman families are also encouraged to continue developing their younglin's knowledge while at home too.

Sector Development Education (SDE)

After the hooman has completed Basic Younglin Education and taken the SGE, they are moved into Sector Development Education. They start at 10 years and should be completed by 15, where they will take the second exam, the Developmental Direction Exam (DDE)   Sector Development Education continues on their general learning, but also starts to look at a young hooman's strengths and weaknesses to guide them into which Sector they would be best at working in.   After a hooman has taken the Developmental Direction Exam and spoken to a guidance counsellor, they will either be placed under Sector-Specific Education or Joint Sector Education.

Sector Specific Education (SSE)

SSE Education is taken by hoomans who have a clear direction on what sector they want and will be best at to work in.   While classes will overlap between sectors, but student schedules are developed for the specific sector and occupation they have in mind.   At 18, hoomans will take their final exam, to get a Sector-Specific Degree (SSD) in the Sector they intend to work in.

Joint Sector Education (JSE)

JSE Education is taken by hoomans who are more unsure on which sector they are willing to work in, even after guidance from a directional counsellor, or their families. Classes are slightly looser on the specific sectors and more on a general area that the student has strengths in.
At 18, hoomans will take their final exam to get a General Sector Degree (GSD).

Post Education (PE)

There are several ways that a hooman can develop their education after getting their SSD or GSD.

Apprenticeships

Hoomans looking to work in a specific occupation can become an apprentice of a more experienced hooman, usually someone who is working in a senior position or has been in the occupation a long time. It looks good on their employment history, especially if they receive a document of recommendation from their senior. Hoomans that are well-known in their sector are usually favoured and encouraged to take on apprentices.

Extra Degrees

While extra degrees are unnecessary for the majority of hooman occupations, some hoomans work towards extra degrees for various reasons, like if they suddenly consider wanting to work in a different sector or feel like it would supplement their current work.
PE classes for these sorts of degrees usually take place in the evenings and night.
