Syliar

A Syliar is the most common form of planet side transportation in the Velani Federation. It is well recognized by its triangular rounded design that many have likened to some form of insect, and its unusual emergency travel function that takes the form of four arthropod-like robotic legs. Considered the hallmark of Velani civilian life, it has become an inadvertent symbol of the Federation all across the galaxy.

Power Generation

Solar panels along the roof help to power the vehicle as it travels across a planet. If the vehicle is being produced for a low-light colony then it will instead use electrical or hydrogen power.

Propulsion

Syliars use a system of ion repulsors to propel itself forward and to keep its structure off the ground. If for some reason the ion repulsors are not functioning then four robotic limbs will unfold and allow the vehicle to traverse across the planet to the desired location.

Armor and defense

A syliar is lightly armored as it is meant for civilian transportation. Although it can survive most collisions up to three hundred kilometers per hour before total structural failure will occur.

Communication Tools & Systems

Comes with an inbuilt communication system with a planet wide range depending on the infrastructure of the colony or home planet. There is also an automatic emergency aid protocol installed. This will cause the vehicles artificial intelligence to contact emergency services and do what it can to help its passengers.

Sensors

Syliars have a basic sensory load out that allows them to perceive the environment around them. This allows the onboard artificial intelligence to calculate the most efficient path to one's desired location. It also allows for safer travel as its sensory range is approximately two hundred kilometers, allowing for expedient avoidance of incoming dangers and obstacles.

Additional & auxiliary systems

Syliars have lights on its front and back to allow for safer travel during low-light conditions. It also has access to several layers of protection for its passengers, ranging from safety foam to the ejection of its living cargo in emergency pods.
