The Fall of Felna
Two weeks before the party is assembled Gorn Gutbucket leads an armada of 200 ships to blockade the coasts of elven kingdoms Kyoto and Felna. As Gorn moves to position his fleet in preparation for a blockade and eventual invasion a combined elven armada of 600 ships intercepts him. The largest naval battle in history then begins. While the elves vastly outnumber Gorns armada Gorn has two advantages. One elves are not know for they're naval prowess and two Gorn has battleships. Gorn expertly luls the elves into a false sense of security by using his cruisiers as bait drawing the elven ships into his lines. As the elves push deeper into his cruiser line Gorn moves to flank from boths sides of the elven armada with his 50 battleships. This move split the elven forces in two and they were utterly decimated. Gorn Gutterbucket takes his remaining 143 ships and blockades the elven coast. One week before the party arrives Admiral Gorn Gutterbucket has been given the order to ferry General Torgen Elfsbane and his army onto the Felnan coast. Wood elf rangers sent out by Rinndall Sh'aro report the Orc army numbers 10,000 a large army but not the largest Rinndall has faced. Rinndall Sh'aro believes he can lure Torgen Elfsbane further inland cut off his supply line and destroy the Orc army. Rinndall orders multiple hit and run attacks that take a significant toll on the Orc army dwindling there numbers from 10,000 to 7,000 in just 3 days. As the party arrives in Felna Torgen and his army now numbering 6,000 reach Helnas temple the place Rinndall has chosen to finish off Torgen. Rindal has given his rangers orders to cut off the Orcs supply line while his generals attack the remains of Torgen Elfsbane army all this is happening while Rinndall is briefing the party. However for the first time in 136 years Rinndall Sh'aro is outsmarted. Torgen Elfsbane lived up to his name and reputation for beating elves. Torgen knew Rinndall wanted to cut off his supply line so he purposely left it unguarded to lure the rangers in. Torgen knew the rangers wouldnt expect his most elite troops to be hiding in the surrounding forest so thats exactly what he did. The rangers attacked the supply line and found nothing except a horde of 6,000 elite orc warriors descending upon them. The rangers Felnas most elite fighters were utterly decimated all without Rinndall Sh'aro knowing. The Felnan army at Helnas temple paled in comparison to the individual skill of rangers so when they were met with 12,000 battle ready orcs instead of the reported 6,000 tired and injured orcs the army and their generals met a gruesome fate. Just as the party begins to depart for Kyoto Torgen Elfsbane and his horde of orcs begin the siege of Felna. Once the party reaches the plains outside of Kyoto they'll be informed by a trail of refugees that Felna has fallen and both Commander Rinndall Sh'aro and King Cerrik Ruadon have been killed. It is rumored Rinndall met his end protecting a family from a band of Orcs while King Cerrik was tortured for a day before Torgen decided to tie Cerrick to four horses and have him split apart.
