Spice Elf
At first glance, the typical homes of the spice elves seems not as bountiful as the homes of their brethren. However, the bounties around them are often found underground. They do not fight or fear the seemingly harsh environments around them unlike their human counterparts. They, like most elves, embrace the world around them and use it to prosper. Many have fallen trying to achieve the same prosperity due to a lack of ancient knowledge and elven intuition. There are many fantastical tales involving Spice Elves and the hot desert sun. However, these tales may be further from the truth than presented. Because they prefer to stay amongst themselves these tales are allowed to be shared for generation despite their falsehoods. Some Spice Elves do live in the desert in both above and underground structures, however they dwell in a variety of climates. In the hotter environments they tend to wear fairly shear, loose, flowing clothing to compliment their natural resistance to extreme heat. They adorn themselves with little to no accessories save for special occasions or higher ranking members of society. In colder environments they would seem under-dressed to the casual passerby. While they do dress in warm layers they refuse to let their clothing become to heavy or encumbering. Often they will opt for a hooded cloak over thick furs and coats and slender boots even in the deepest snow. They will be seen without gloves as they are use to the extreme cold and naturally handle ti better than most other species. Regardless of where they live, Spice elves do enjoy extravagance when it comes to creating with their name-sake. Often indulging in teas made from the most rare and expensive spices, the Spice Elves are known to be great philosophers and it is considered an honor to join them for a cup. The preferred cuisine of the spice elves is anything made over an open fire and covered in spices that perfume the air while cooking. Weary travelers have told stories of following the scent to facilitate their own rescue when they have strayed too far from their path.As I wandered the desert, the sun became hotter and brighter without mercy. I only found relief on my eyes as I collapsed in the sand and my vision grew dim. I remember the faint sound of tiny bells as the world finally turned black.~The Adventures of Caldius
