Tiefling

The thing is, the Tieflings with the horns aren't the scary ones. They are just funny colored humans with horns, really. The ones with no horns aren't so bad, either. It's the ones with the plumicorns that are the real issue. I don't care what they say or where they supposedly come from, you just can't trust them!

Before the Great Balancing, Tieflings often hid their true identity to protect themselves from those who would hurt them, or worse, out of fear. Many Tieflings were victims of “hunting” campaigns targeting specific beings. While the great balancing did help begin the progression toward a more accepting and stable environment for the Tieflings, the government still has several laws on the books to help protect them against those who may not be as accepting. It doesn't help that most Tieflings tend to gravitate to extreme habits, behaviors, and even outward appearance at times.   The “Powers that be” in Huggleland view Tieflings as a sign of the world's natural desire to maintain balance. Despite their at times extreme nature, it is said that there is no such thing as a true single birth of a Tiefling. It is believed that every time one “type” of Tiefling, of which there are three, is born, one of each of the other two “types” is also born somewhere in the world. There is little evidence that this is true. However, it is established lore in not only the Tiefling community, but also supported by the highest tiers of the Huggleland Government. These three “types” of Tiefling are easily identifiable by their outward appearance. They either have horns, plumicorns, or nothing on their head from birth. It is easy, if not superficial, to identify the main three groups of Tiefling in Huggleland.
The first group are the Tieflings with horns, known as “Lived Tiefling.” They typically have skin tones in a range of the red, purples, and tan spectrums. They don't always have tails, but it is common for them to have tails of various lengths, styles, and colors as well. It is said their bloodlines are full of demon blood, and some claim to be able to trace their ancestry back to specific demons from ancient times. This does not make them “evil” and they are much like all the other denizens of Huggleland in that some are “good” and some are “bad.”
The Second group are the Tieflings with plumicorns, called “Legna Tiefling.” They tend to have skin tones that are very pale across almost every color existing. Some even have skin that is mottled with multiple colorations. These Tieflings claim their blood is full of Seraph blood, and some go as far as to trace their lines to Divine beings and their servants. Just as those with horns are not inherently “Evil,” those with plumicorns are not inherently “Good.” Their appearance, however, lends themselves to an initially more trusted position than their counterparts in most situations.
The final group are those with no horns, no tails, nor plumicorns, often referred to as “Lamron Tielfing.” This group is believed to be further removed from demons and seraphs and usually make no claims to any divine or ancient ancestry. Their appearance varies heavily, as they can have some or none of the less obvious traits of the other two groups. It is unclear as to why there is no record of Tieflings that have both plumicorn and horns. Some believe that strong enough demonic and seraph genetics that would let that happen, can't combine to create viable life, but this has never been proven.
