Eous Station

Headquarters of the Interplanetary Governance Council, Eous station was the first full-size O'neil cylinder built by humanity. Eous is actually made of two cylinders, identical twins coupled together to provide mass to push off of. The Cylinders are each 8 kilometers in diameter and 30 kilometers long, with over 750 kilometers of internal living space, excluding the massive windows lighting the interior. Both Cylinders together mass over 15.000 megatons, including external hardware, and took 17 years to construct.
Hab 1, Eous' primary cylinder, is officially the capitol of the solar system, where the government meets on a daily basis. It houses 102 million people, and mostly exports entertainment and colonists. The Eous academy is the premiere university in the solar system, where 90% of graduates end up in the top 5% of their career fields. The inhabitants of Eous are among the richest in the solar system, and the Eous foundation is one of the most benevolent funds in the system.
Hab 2, Eous' secondary cylinder provides food, water, and oxygen recycling for Hab 1. The inside of Hab 2 is dedicated to agriculture, boasting massive hydroponics vats, open-air grape vineyards, and the largest collection of natural-born pigs anywhere outside of Earth. Only 3 million people live in Hab 2, though several millions more commute there for work.

Run by the Eous Habitat council, which answers to the Interplanetary Governance Council.
