Chronomancers Favourite

Overview

The Chronomancers Favourite is a pricy dish, mainly a small bowl of a brown-ish, sometimes green-ish, more or less liquid dessert. It is served mostly on special occasions or - which is the main reason - when a Chronomancer needs to think less. Or slower, the dish can do both.

History, Price & Usage

The main problem with the Chronomancers are their brains. The are capable of thoughts and calculations which can make the best computers of humanity jealous. But since the Chronomancers themselves are a biological species their rapid thinking takes a huge toll on them: a really, really fast burning of calories and a strong wear-&-tear effect. It basically exhausts them just to exist and to think, even when it comes to their breakfast.
So one Chronomancer put the liquid of the tendrils of the Gurglush-ra in his dish. Only Chronomancers know why he did it and are thankful for his deed. What the liquid did was to slow down the thinking processes of the Chronomancers by around 50%. Which is utterly slow, but a relief for at least a few hours.
But this relief has a price. The dish is rather expensive because Chronomancers need to dive into the Deep Sea and harvest the plant without getting eaten by it or ambushed by other beings which lives in the cold waters.
Watch out, mentioning of death

Because he didn't wanted to live anymore, his rapid and constant thinking drove him mad. He thought the liquid was poisonous.

Recipe

Note: those measurements are translated and transformed from the Chronomancer system into the metric system.
Ingredients:

• 300g oat flour
• at least 1 litre of oat milk (or milk out of some kind of nuts)
• 50g baking powder
• ~300ml per litre of the tendril liquid
• You need to adjust the measurements to your liking, depending if you want it more or less liquid

Instructions

Mix the oat milk with the oat flour and the baking powder. Stir it for around thirty minutes until it has the consistence you want to archive.


When the desired consistency is archived, let it rest for an hour, then cook it for the same amount of time. At this point it should look like human coffee with a bit of milk.


After this time put the liquid of the Gurglush-ra in the mix, let it cook for half an hour and taste it. If it has the desired taste and consistence, put it in the fridge for a day.
