Tabath's Shield
During the angelic-demonic war, magic was rapidly developed by both sides in order to secure an advantage. Tabath's Shield was one such invention. Rather than offensive power, the shield was to be used primarily for defense. At six meters squre, the shield could be weilded by nearly any angel, but was specifically built, nine hundred years before the end of the war, by Tabath Hariemond, a magic weilder and knight.
His goal was to produce a sheild not only for a single individual, but one that could house an entire city if necessary. In order to do so, he used both platinum and gold, highly magically condictive materials, to construct the glyphs incribed on the outer rim of the shield. The base is a large square surrounded by four circles on each side. The circles all have their own glyphs, which dictate the manifestation of defense.
When only the center is active, the shield will protect the weilder and those within a five meter, three dimensional radius. The lower circule creates a magical ground field, enhancing other defensive magic. As each of the three other sides is activated, a larger and larger castle-like structure made of pure magic appears, covering an increasing three dimensional area. At it's maxiumum, the shield can protect and area of 2000 square kilometers.
