White Moon Festival

An important festival in Lunis that happens every full moon and signals the end of the month. It lasts for the entire day and all work not related to running the festival is put on hold. As a time of peace and unity, conflict is forbidden and grudges are to be forgotten entirely. Even the normally reclusive Lycan clans pay a visit to the nearest settlement in order to take part in the festivities.
Weddings only take place during this festival, it's impossible to get married in Lunis any other time. If it wasn't blessed by the presence of the white moon, then it isn't considered a true marriage.
Another important part of the festival is the Phantasmal Hours. During that time it is believed that wicked spirits wander the world. To disguise themselves from those spirits the people wear masks modeled after different animals. The Phantasmal Hours begin when the moon reaches the highest point in the sky and ends when the sun rises and brings in the new month.
